THE SITE RULES
[break][break]THE SITE RULES
[attr="class","celtic-content"]
Thank you for coming to read the rules that are set for The Celtic Cross "TCC". They are very simple, nothing to complicated or to extreme where you can't have any fun. If you have a problem with the rules, contact a staff member before you start running your mouth on how you hate the rules, us staffers are very understanding and in the end, the rule may change if we can see your reasoning. So let us know.
[break][break]▬ BEGINNING STEPS [break]
ONE, Spamming and / or Trashing the Site [break]
Just don't do it. Okays? It's not polite and it's certainly won't impress us admins or others members if you are ruining this site. First incidence is a warning, second time a member is banned for a week. Third time - do you really want to know? Spamming is basically double posting, one word posts etc. Need more clarification? PM me or one of the other admins. [break][break]
TWO, Language and Grammar [break]
We are a literate site, meaning one line posts are not acceptable. Yes, everyone gets writers block every now and then so sometimes it just can't be helped. However, if every in-character post you are making is less than 200 words, you will receive a warning. On the whole, I'd say each post should be around 400 words / 2 - 3 paragraphs, There is a word count on the bottom of each post (on the bottom right, across from preview/bbcode). This, of course, excludes OOC posts. Please use proper grammar and spelling. Obviously, I understand that we all are from different countries so spelling may be different, but please, use spell check on Microsoft Word! It only takes a few seconds and it makes the board look a lot neater. Typos are to be expected, but that doesn't mean I want to see a whole post filled with them! [break][break]
THREE, Respect other members! [break]
Please, if you have a problem with someone, do not start a hate war. They really are not necessary and that do not add to the friendly atmosphere of the site. If you do have a problem with another member, PM an admin and they will sort it out with you and said member in the most mature and unbiased way possible.[break][break]
FOUR, The mods and admins say is final.[break]
I think this one is rather self explanatory, don't you? Respect us and we will respect you![break][break]
FIVE, Be polite[break]
Yes, your character has permission to be an absolute cow. You, however, do not. There is no need to put down other members or trash the site when you are OOC. It's just rude. [break][break]
SIX, Advertising [break]
We have an advertising section. So why bother posting links to sites you want to in any other section of the board? There isn't any point. [break][break][break]
▬ HORSE RULES[break]
ONE, Herds[break]
Make sure you read the Herd Descriptions before choosing a herd to place your character in. The herds aren't based off of "meanest to kindest", they are based on personalities - some herds are meaner then others but they all have their own quirks.[break][break]
TWO, Odd Markings / Eye Colors[break]
When making your character, there is no limit on odd markings for your characters however if staff judge that you have gone to the extreme with odd markings then we have the right to request you to removed some of the markings. Any color of eyes are accepted. [break][break]
THREE, Appearance & Accessories[break]
You are allowed 2 free accessories per character. If you want more, you can buy them in the shop! As for appearance of your horse, this is a fantasy horse role play meaning they can have odd markings, like above. However their coat has to have a normal base color. Such as: "Paradox" is a brown paint, she has 2 red hand prints on her hip, and a blue circle around her eye. Does that make sense? What we don't want is a purple horse with blue socks.[break][break][break]
▬ RP RULES[break]
ONE, Naming your character/s[break]
Try to be interesting! While sometimes it is hard to find a name that really suits your characters, try to be creative! Play around with it! Anything goes! TCC is a one account per character, you can have a main account that you can post around the forum but you need to reply to threads and apply for high ranks on your character account. We do this simply because the more you post on your character account the faster you will rise in the elemental ranks. [break][break]
TWO, Limit to the number of characters[break]
Simple; there isn't one, providing you keep every single one of them active. We don't want to see people making countless new characters & never bothering to develop their old ones.[break][break]
THREE, No powerplaying / godmodding[break]
In other words; you do not control every single character on this board. The whole point of rping is interacting with other people! So do not make your characters all knowing of everything. As for godmodding; just don't do it, okay? If you're unsure as to what it is; basically, it's when you determine the actions of another character. WRONG. You can say that is was a well aimed slap, but never say your character actually hit the other character. It is up to them to decide whether their character is involved. [break][break][break]
▬ IMAGE RULES[break]
ONE, Credit it [break]
If someone makes you a signature or avatar, they probably spent quite a lot of time perfecting it for you. Therefore, do not claim it as your own! Credit it as their work. Similarly, don't steal others signatures / avatars / images. It's not very polite and we won't be lenient when we find out (and we will!) you will receive a warning. [break][break]
TWO, Size [break]
Oh, here we go. The size of your signature does not matter on one condition: it doesn't stretch the board. This is just a common courtesy on your part. Avatars must be 200x300 pixels, there is a smaller avatar which is 200x160 for staff and 200x90 for members (put the direct link in the correct spots under "personal" in your account setting.), and then your 150x150, that your change under the avatar settings.. Also, do not post images larger than 500 x 500. These will stretch the board. However, post a link if you are absolutely dying to. [break][break]
THREE, Content [break]
No nudity, gore, graphic violence, offensive text or anything similar. End of story.
